36 Weeks

Baby Boy Grogan weighs almost 6 pounds and is a little less than 19 inches, and at my doctors appointment Monday morning Dr. 1984 confirmed that his head is in position (not going to tell you how she figured that out), but I have not officially "dropped". She hoped it was a sign that I'd go full term. I’ve also gained another pound and was told there is no shortage of baby in this belly. The only movements happening these days are not kicks and jabs of elbows and feet, but waves of movement across my belly, and what I can only imagine is his tiny bum wiggling around trying to get comfy in the little space he has left.

This weekend was Paul’s 30th Birthday, and we went to the Blue Jays game where the baby kicked the crap out of me the entire time we were there. There was a young family with a little baby a few rows down from us, she must have been only 3 months old or so. She was fed, changed and fell fast asleep as the crowd roared and the loudspeaker blasted the line-up. It made me think about outings we might be able to take with our little one by the end of the summer, and how much I want to do with him while I’m not working.

With only 4 weeks left until baby gets here, and only 3 weeks left of work left, the countdown is on in our house. Hospital bags are packed, phone numbers are saved in cell phones, and the nursery is complete. All that’s left to do is wait for him to make his appearance, which is fine by me. The nursery is complete – save a valance for the window and some stuff to hang on the walls – and here are the pictures to prove it!

So pretty, loving the crib. Glad the yellow change table pad cover works with the bedding. Can't wait to get the call that Junior has arrived and am so happy for you that he is in the correct position - no matter how you had to find it out!

It's absolutely beautiful - you guys did a great job. Can't believe all the work you did since Andy and I saw it a few weeks ago!
I just know the little man will sleep soundly in such comfy surrroundings. Can't wait to hear when he makes his arrival.
